Feeling Overwhelmed? Try This

Hello Reader,

If the world feels like a dumpster fire right now, you’re not “behind.” You’re a human with a nervous system.

And if you’ve been staring at your phone like, “What am I even supposed to post?”… Well, you are not alone!

Here’s the goal for this week, month, and maybe even year keep showing up but don't burn out. No tone-deaf content. No disappearing for three months. No inspirational monologues that make you cringe while typing them.

Let’s do this the sane way.

1) Pick ONE lane: human, helpful, or light

You don’t need to combine everything into one post like a content smoothie.

  • Human: “Today’s heavy. Here’s what I’m holding.”
  • Helpful: “If you’re anxious, try this 5-minute reset.”
  • Light: “Here’s something normal, funny, or behind the scenes.”

One lane per post keeps you clear and keeps your audience from feeling whiplash.

2) Use the “Acknowledge, then Anchor” formula

This is how you avoid looking like you’re selling sunscreen during a hurricane.

  • Acknowledge: “A lot of people are feeling overwhelmed.”
  • Anchor: “So here’s something practical you can do today.”
  • Action: 1 to 3 steps. Keep it simple.
  • Soft CTA: “If you want support with this, I’ve got you.”

3) Shrink the scope: micro-content wins

If your brain is fried, lower the bar on purpose.

Try:

  • 1 idea, 1 takeaway, 1 CTA
  • a 15–30 second reel
  • “Three things I’m focusing on this week”
  • “One belief that’s helping me right now”

You don’t need a masterpiece. You need momentum.

4) Swap “hot takes” for “steady takes”

When everything’s chaotic, your audience craves grounded leadership.

Content angles that land:

  • “What actually matters right now”
  • “What I’m ignoring on purpose”
  • “How to make decisions when you feel overwhelmed”
  • “How to show up without burning out”

Be the calm person in the room. It’s a flex.

5) Create “evergreen comfort” content

This is the stuff that helps anytime, especially now:

  • boundaries
  • routines
  • confidence
  • overthinking
  • time management
  • simple systems
  • community and support

Evergreen comfort builds trust fast because it’s useful no matter what the headlines are doing.

6) Run a quick check before you post

Ask yourself:

  • Does this help someone today?
  • Does it require energy they might not have?
  • Could it accidentally minimize what’s happening?
  • Would I still post this if my best client was having a rough week?

If it passes, hit publish.

7) You can still sell. Just stop pretending everything’s normal

Selling isn’t unethical. Being oblivious is.

Try:

  • “If you want support right now, here’s an option.”
  • “No pressure. Just here if you need it.”
  • “If now isn’t the season, save this for later.”

People still buy when life is messy. Sometimes especially then.

A few easy post ideas for heavy weeks

  • “3 things I’m doing to stay grounded”
  • “If you’re doomscrolling, read this”
  • “A reminder you might need today”
  • “How I’m simplifying my content this week”
  • “What to do when you don’t feel creative”
  • “One question to ask before you spiral”

If you want, reply and tell me what kind of creator you are right now:

  • “I can only handle simple and practical”
  • “I need light and funny”
  • “I want to say something real but not overshare”

And I’ll help you map your next week of content in a way that actually feels doable.
