Hello Reader,
Why your content isnât landing (and how to fix it)
If your posts are getting politely ignored like a group text where everyone saw it and nobody replied⊠welcome. Youâre not broken. Your content isnât âbad.â Itâs just not connecting yet.
And hereâs the plot twist: most content doesnât flop because youâre inconsistent or ânot posting enough.â It flops because itâs one of these:
- Too vague (so nobody feels like itâs for them)
- Too polished (so it feels like a brochure, not a human)
- Trying to impress everyone (which is how you end up resonating with⊠no one)
Today weâre building content that connects. Not content that checks the âconsistencyâ box and still somehow accomplishes nothing.
The dream reaction (aka the goal)
When your ideal client sees your content, you want them thinking:
- âOh my god, you get me.â
- âFinally, someone said it.â
- âI needed this today.â
- âHow do I work with you?â
Thatâs the standard. Not ânice post!â
The real reasons your content isnât connecting
Letâs say the quiet part out loud. Content usually doesnât connect because:
- Youâre talking to âeveryoneâ (aka no one).
- Youâre teaching without context (helpful, but forgettable).
- Youâre hiding your point of view (safe content is invisible content).
- Youâre skipping the moment (what theyâre thinking at 11:47 pm, scrolling in panic).
And the fix is not âbe smarter.â The fix is simpler.
Connection isnât created by being smarter.
Itâs created by being more specific.
Specific sells. Specific sticks. Specific gets saved and DMâd to friends with âTHIS IS YOU.â
The Connection Formula: 3H Hook + Human + Help
1) Hook: call out the moment
Your hook isnât a clever quote. Itâs a mirror. Ask:
- What are they doing?
- What are they afraid of?
- What are they secretly hoping?
Hook starters:
- âIf youâve been saving posts and still not postingâŠâ
- âIf you keep rewriting your caption like itâs a college essayâŠâ
- âIf youâre tired of trying to look âprofessionalâ and still feeling invisibleâŠâ
2) Make it feel like a person wrote it
This is where your content stops sounding like a textbook and starts sounding like you.
Add:
- a belief
- a confession
- behind-the-scenes truth
- a âyouâre not crazyâ reframe
Human starters:
- âHereâs what nobody tells youâŠâ
- âI used to think this meant I wasnât cut out for itâŠâ
- âI see this all the time with smart, talented coachesâŠâ
3) Help: one clear takeaway
Not 17 tips. One takeaway with a next step.
Help starters:
- âTry this todayâŠâ
- âUse this sentenceâŠâ
- âHereâs the 2-minute versionâŠâ
Quick clarity check (do this before you post again)
Answer these in one sentence each:
- Who do you help?
- What do they struggle with that they donât say out loud?
- What are they trying that isnât working?
- What do they want instead?
If you canât answer those fast, your content will come out fuzzy. And fuzzy content gets scrolled past.
Turn your answers into hooks (copy/paste templates)
Use these plug-and-play patterns:
- âIf youâre a [person] and you keep [behavior], hereâs whatâs actually happeningâŠâ
- âYouâre not inconsistent. Youâre overwhelmed because [reason].â
- âYou donât need more [tactic]. You need [missing thing].â
These work because theyâre specific, a little spicy, and they make your ideal client feel seen instead of judged.
The real takeaway
Connection comes from specificity, point of view, and meeting your ideal client in the moment theyâre actually living in.
Not in the âbest version of themselvesâ fantasy. In the âitâs late, Iâm stressed, and Iâm questioning everythingâ reality.
